When Larry Nolan, returned from a convention held in Texas, he was very excited about the “Texas Stars Project” that was presented to the group. As we listened to him talk about their project, showing us what they had done and how it could further recognize the men and women who serve and have served our country, we too caught that enthusiasm.

We wanted to take the idea
and run with it in Illinois,
naming our pledge,
“The Illinois Star Warriors®”.
Thus, our program began.


Somewhat ironically, our program
kicked off on Tuesday, September 11, 2012.
To date, with the outpouring of support thru flag donations, supplies and volunteers, we have cut out and put together more than 200,000
“Stars Of Appreciation®” to hand out to our servicemen and women and veterans.

We have been honored to receive from the
Cook County Board of Commissioners a
Resolution honoring our
Illinois Star Warriors Program®
